Emma
Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson was born in Paris France to British parents Jacqueline Luesby and Chris Watson who were both lawyers. When she was just five years old, she moved to Oxfordshire and went to an Oxfordshire-based Dragon School. Emma was six years old when she made the decision to make it as an actress. The actress trained for several years at Stagecoach Theatre Arts, a Part-time theatre school located in Oxford where she was taught acting and singing. As a ten year old, Emma had taken part in numerous Stagecoach productions, as well as school plays. Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2000), the film adaptation from J.K. Rowling's bestselling novel was cast for the first second time back in 1999. Casting agents found Emma by way of her Oxford theatre teacher. After eight consistent auditions the producer David Heyman told Emma and fellow applicants Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint that they were selected to play the three leads Hermione Granger Harry Potter and Ron Weasley. Emma's first appearance in a film was as a part of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone in 2001. The film set records for beginning-day and weekend-opening sales and became the top-grossing movie in the year 2001. Film critics praised the film as well as the acting performances of the three leading young actors. The Daily Telegraph, an important British paper, called Emma's performances "amazing". Then Emma was shortlisted for five awards for her performance in the film, winning her the Young Artist Award for Leading Actress of a Younger in an Feature Film.
