Christopher Robert Evans, born 13 June 1981, is an American actor. Beginning his career in television Evans portrayed roles including Opposite sex in 2000. In 2005, following appearances in Not Another Teen Movie and Fantastic Four (and its sequel Fantastic Four Rise of the Silver Surfer 2007) The actor was recognized for his role as Marvel Comics hero The Human Torch. Evans was featured in a variety of films based on comic books and graphic novels, such as TMNT (2007) Scott Pilgrim and the World vs. the World (2009) as well as Snowpiercer (2013). Alongside his character in the role of Captain America and Steve Rogers, Evans gained recognition through his appearances in the Marvel Cinematic Universe movies Captain America: The First Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2015) and Captain America: Civil War. As a result of his Marvel work, he became one the most highly-paid actors around the globe.
