Matthew Matt James is a North Carolina native born on 5 December 1991. James is the father of Manny and Patty James and is of mixed race. He is the son of Nigerian while his mother is caucasian American. His father is Nigerian, and his mother caucasian American. He has graduated from Sanderson High School in 2010 and then attended Wake Forest University, where the Bachelor's Degree was awarded to him in Economics in the year 2015. James gained fame when He became a reality-TV participant on The Bachelorette. He was selected in 2020 to become the 25th season bachelor in The Bachelor, becoming the first African American lead. The show premiered 2021. James's height, looks and sense of humor were the perfect match for the part. Rachael Krakconnell, who he had chosen as his girlfriend to date through the remainder of the season. He partnered with the famous professional dancer Arnold in 2021 and competed on the 30th season of Dancing with the Stars. James and Arnold finished 12th.
